  1. If there are insufficient funds in your account to cover the amount of a check you have written or payment you have scheduled, you will be charged an insufficient funds (NSF) fee.
  2. Applicable for Digital Banking users who have opted to receive paper statements.
  3. Fees are applied when an account has been inactive for two years. To keep your account active, sign in to Digital Banking, conduct a transaction, or complete this form (PDF).
  4. You can make six free transfers from your savings account each month. Additional transfers from your savings account will be processed, but may be subject to the excessive transaction fee. The maximum fee charged for excessive transfers in a day is $15.00 per day. The transfers subject to the excessive transaction fee are:
    • Debit card purchases
    • Online bill payments, except when making a UNFCU loan payment
    • Account to account transfers using Digital Banking
    • Wire and mobile money transfers using Digital Banking
    • Transfer requests made by phone
  5. Fees exceeding the Member Loyalty Rewards rebates you qualify for in a calendar month cannot be rebated in future months. Likewise, the rebate is not a credit and applies only to eligible fees incurred in a qualifying month. To qualify for a loyalty level, your accounts must be in good standing and meet all criteria for that level. UNFCU will determine your loyalty level at the end of each calendar month. Your rewards for that month will be credited to your checking account at the start of the following month. If you do not have a checking account, monthly rewards will be credited to your savings account. If you are in a country subject to US sanctions, view all account restrictions that may apply. UNFCU may change the rewards offered through its Member Loyalty Rewards program at any time. View the Member Loyalty Rewards program for more information.
  6. Fees may apply when using an ATM outside the United States.
  7. Excessive ATM fees are not eligible for Member Loyalty Rewards rebates. However, the operators of these ATMs may impose their own additional fees. These additional fees imposed by the operators are eligible for rebates when you qualify for Member Loyalty Rewards.
  8. Pay no fees for your first 8 withdrawals per month at non-UNFCU ATMs outside the Co-op and Allpoint networks. This applies to members using their UNFCU debit card. UNFCU may revise the number of ATM withdrawals that can be made without fees at any time.
  9. You may withdraw dividends accrued on your account each month, without incurring a penalty. Any additional withdrawals before the completion of the certificate’s term will incur early withdrawal penalties. The amount of your penalty may be deducted from the principal balance. The penalties will be waived if you use the money for a new home financed by UNFCU.
  10. Money can be transferred in the local currency of the countries where we offer this service. Countries, currencies, and carriers are subject to change at any time. Daily transfer amounts vary by country and mobile money carrier.
  11. No closing costs are required if the line remains open for over 36 months from the day of funding. In the event the line of credit is closed within 36 months, you will be required to pay any closing costs at that time.
